The sixth second- or third-tier Double Play winning ticket sold in 2024 has been claimed just days after the fateful drawing on a ticket that was sold at Wawa in the 5400 block of Urbana Pike in Frederick.

The winning numbers for the Wednesday, Sept. 25 drawing were 06-32-51-62-69 with a Power Ball of 26.

This week, the Frederick County winner, going only by the moniker "Super Mom," was in Lottery Headquarters to collect her prize, which she says left her in a state of shock.

"I couldn't breathe," she remembered. "I was hyperventilating and I was in shock. It doesn’t feel real."

The Frederick woman said she's been playing Powerball for years, and always takes advantage of the Double Play, which paid off when her quick-pick ticket turned out to be a six-figure winner.

“I like the numbers that came out,” she mused, stating that she has a set of personal numbers she would typically use, but didn't on Sept. 25. "I am just so grateful."

During Wednesday's drawing, Maryland had 1,359 Double Play winners of prizes ranging from $7 to the big $500,000 jackpot.

Double Play is a second drawing that occurs 30 minutes after each Powerball drawing, giving players a chance to win up to $10 million with the same ticket numbers, according to Lottery officials.

Players can add the feature to Powerball tickets for $1.

With her big winning "Super Mom" hopes to live up to her nickname and has plans to purchase a new home and stash some away for her children's college educations.
